Mabel Spofford collection of art education materials, 1947-1982 (bulk 1947-1948).

The collection contains an album of thirty-one black-and-white photographs of Penn State buildings with identifying captions pointing out architectural features that Mabel Spofford created while enrolled in the Penn State Summer Arts Institute, 1947-1948; her class notes at the Institute for courses taught by Viktor Lowenfeld on mural painting, poster making, and child development; three postcards sent home from Penn State; and a special issue of Art education vol. 35 no. 6 (Nov. 1982) devoted to Viktor Lowenfeld.
